Diabetic Foot Health
Foot health among patients with diabetes is paramount and contributes to the overall health of the patient. Foot & Ankle Partners of El Paso takes a comprehensive approach to diabetic foot care. During a diabetic foot exam, the patient’s vascular, neurological, and dermatological and musculoskeletal status is evaluated. Serious complications affecting the lower extremity may arise from diabetes. Untreated calluses may result in chronic and infected ulcers which can lead to an unnecessary amputation. Patients with diabetes should have their feet examined by a podiatrist at least once a year. At Foot & Ankle Partners of El Paso, we will work together with you to help keep your feet healthy. In our offices, we have routine preventative foot care.
