What is littleSTEPS®?
LittleSTEPS® are specially designed prefabricated, semi-rigid foot orthotics for kids. They are used to treat flatfoot, gait problems and other musculoskeletal foot conditions that can make it difficult for your child to walk, run, or play sports. LittleSTEPS@ are made up of a thermoplastic material that provides the strength and support necessary for correcting foot abnormalities but is also soft to ensure comfort. They are available in various sizes to help deliver prescription-based foot correction.
Indications for littleSTEPS®
LittleSTEPS® can be used to treat:
- Flatfoot
- In-toeing gait
- Toe walking
- Growing bone pain

How Does littleSTEPS® Work?
LittleSTEPS® consists of a semi-rigid shell that is designed to control foot and heel posture and provide arch support while standing and walking. It is worn inside any athletic shoe.

- Deep Heel Cup: To correct heel position and realign the Achilles tendon
- Deep Lateral and Medial Flanges: For proper alignment of the foot
- Medial Rearfoot Posting: For arch support
- Medial Skive: To control excessive foot pronation
LittleSTEPS® are available in several sizes ranging from toddler to youth/adult sizes. As your child grows, you will need to replace the orthotics for a proper fit. Your doctor will help you determine the appropriate size.
